THE LEADERSHIP COACHING FOUNDATIONS

ABOUT:

Organizations are operating under constant strain, and team memers often carry even more. Still, the desire to show up for communities has not faded. We understand both the pressure leaders face and the impact they are working toward, and we partner with teams to help make that impact possible without losing themselves in the process.

At Coaching Foundations, participants learn how to integrate coaching principles into their leadership style in order to grow leaders with purpose and impact. Research consistently shows that leaders who use coaching tools are more effective at inspiring teams, strengthening results, and fostering innovation in complex environments.

Our curriculum is intentionally designed for leaders in the social impact space who are ready to elevate their practice and lead with authenticity, empathy, and vision.

By the end of the course, participants will confidently integrate coaching tools into their daily leadership practice, enabling them to:

• Build stronger, trust-based relationships with team members that increase engagement and accountability

• Learn and apply our social impact leadership framework to develop others through intentional feedback and powerful questioning

• Strengthen critical thinking and critical consciousness while cultivating an ethical and practical relationship with generative AI as a leadership tool

• Implement the S.T.A.T.S. Leadership Assessment to measure and track leadership growth in team members over time

• Join a community of 200+ alumni leaders actively using Coaching Foundations to develop leadership capacity within their organizations

Graduates of this training earn a 30-hour Leadership Coaching Certification, positioning themselves—and their organizations—apart through a rigorous, values-driven approach to leadership development.

COST:

$995. You are also able to pay as little as $95 per month (No credit check required). We also offer scholarships to help lower the cost. Scholarships are given after you complete the application. No cost is required in completed the application.

NEXT COHORT DATES:

Our cohorts are fully virtual and meet synchronously once a week for 6 weeks. Each session lasts 2 hours. To foster authentic connection, we intentionally accept less than fewer than 25 leaders per cohort. During each class, you’ll engage in meaningful dialogue and collaboration with your peers. All sessions, cohort interactions, and our resource library are hosted on Mighty Networks, creating a dedicated space to learn, connect, and grow together.

Storytelling -Storytelling is the foundation of coaching and is one of the most powerful tools a leader can use. At Messy Roots, we teach our storytelling method to help leaders share impactful stories that cultivate a culture of connection, empathy, and strong relationships within their teams.

Social Impact Curriculum - We’ve developed a modernized coaching curriculum specifically for leaders in social impact spaces. In this program, you’ll learn the foundations of our three core coaching approaches—Narrative, Transformative, and Liberatory—that will equip you to lead one-on-one conversations, ask strategic questions, and provide meaningful feedback to grow your team members.

Sustainability - We provide a comprehensive resource library filled with tools to help you build sustainable leadership practices for yourself and your team. In addition, we teach leaders how to easily design and customize their own resources.
